Essential information: Alfriston - High and Over  	Total distance:	7.8 miles 	Total ascent:		550 feet 	Start is at Star Inn in Alfriston Village. There are two car parks; one short term and one long term.  There is a  bus service to Alfriston. See the link on this page for timetable. There are three different panoramic views on this walk. At the start, there are wonderful views across the Sussex Weald to the north. This is followed views south across the English Channel and, finally, on the last leg of the walk, views of the Cuckmere Valley. The picturesque village of Alfriston is perfect with its village green, pubs and tea shop.
How to get there By car: Alfriston lies on the  Alfriston Road  which connects Seaford to the A27. If driving  along the A27 from Eastbourne look out for a  roundabout about 6 miles out of town and  follow the sign for Alfriston. If driving along  the A259 from Brighton, the junction for  Alfriston is just after you pass through  Seaford.  By bus: For details of bus services through  the village contact 0871 200 22 33.
