Welcome to Sussex Downs Walks

The walks presented can all be found in the eastern end of the South Downs National Park between Lewes and Eastbourne. There is a range of distances and the shorter ones are ideal for families. Many pass through delightful local villages . All the walks are circular and will bring you back to where you started! Many of the walks pass through delightful local villages or small towns where refreshments can be found and links are provided for those who want to find out more about these villages. For every walk two pdf documents are provided. One is an A4 document giving the directions which you see on the web page and the other is an A4 map of the walk. Wherever practicable, directions have been given to help walkers who use public transport to get to the start of the walk. Being "the Downs" the walks are not flat but the amount of ascent is given and walkers can hopefully make a judgement about whether the walk is suitable for them. Feedback about the walks, comment about the directions and the site will be gratefully received. Let me know if you enjoyed the walk! Meanwhile chose a walk and enjoy your walking! If you find any errors in the directions, or have any other comment to make of you just want to describe how the walk went contact me on aj@sussexdownswalks.org.uk
